The editorial office shogakukan issued a press release informing that the manga was written and illustrated by Yu Saitou, Giji Harem (pseudo harem), will have an anime adaptation. The statement didn't reveal any production details or a planned release date, but did give the main vocal cast, including:

  • Nobuhiko Okamoto as Eiji Kitahama.
  • Saori Hayami like Rin Nanakura.

The statement also included a comment from the author: "I started posting "Giji Harem" on my Twitter account, but it became a serial manga and eventually an anime. I feel like the number of people involved in this franchise is growing and I am grateful to everyone and to life. And it's thanks to all the readers that the anime adaptation was possible, thank you very much!Β».

Saitou started publishing the manga via his official Twitter account in 2018 and later started publishing it in the magazine. Monthly Shōnen Sunday from the publisher shogakukan in January 2019 and ending in March 2021. He is also the author of the manga β€œ2nd generation Getsuyoubi wa Kara', which he published in the same magazine between December 2012 and September 2016.

Eiji Kitahama, a sophomore in high school, just wants to be popular.
