The Company Bushiroad announced the card game Card fight !! vanguard will have a new original anime series called Card fight !! Avant-garde: overdress, with new character designs from the creative group CLAMP and the animated production of Kinema Citrus.
The series premieres on April 3 in Japan. It will have a total of 25 episodes and will air only twelve episodes when it premieres. The remaining thirteen episodes will then be broadcast in October 2021. In addition, it will air with English subtitles on the franchise’s official YouTube channel.

Yu-yu is a boy who lives in Kanazawa, Kaga Province. She is 15 years old and in her third year of school. You have the ability to sense other people’s feelings, but you fear that you will not be able to reveal them. One day, Yu-yu couldn’t stand her sister’s hobby anymore, so she ran away from home. Who will save the Megumi Okura? Megumi invites him to a nighttime amusement park called Wonder Hill, where his friends hang out. At the amusement park, Yu-yu meets Megumi, Zakusa Ishikame, and Tomari Seto, members of Team Blackout, a group that meets every evening to play Vanguard.
Tonight there will be a serious battle for the team flag. The leader of Blackout, Danji Momoyama and the mysterious and powerful fighter Tohya Ebata. As Yu-yu watches them, the card fight soon erodes into a world of images. In this way, Yu-yu encounters Vanguard, a world he has never seen, and is deeply drawn to making friends.
