The first part of 86: Eighty-Six will have 11 episodes

On the official site for the animated adaptation of light novels by Asato Asato and illustrated by Shirabi, 86: Eighty-sixSome of the distribution information for the compilation of Blu-ray / DVD packages of the project has been released. This information confirmed that the first part will have a total of eleven episodes.

• Package 1 (episodes 1 to 2) - July 28, 2021.
• Package 2 (episodes 3 to 5) - August 25, 2021.
• Package 3 (episodes 6 to 8) - September 29, 2021.
• Package 4 (episodes 9-11) - October 27, 2021.

The series has aired in Japan since April 10, 2021 and has not yet confirmed the number of episodes, although it is confirmed that it will air on two separate arcs. For his part, Asato Asato started publishing the light novels through the publishing label in April 2017 Dengeki Bunko of Kadokawa. Shirabi (Musaigen no Phantom World) and the artist I-IV (Aldnoah.Zero, Re: Creators) were responsible for the illustrations.

Synopsis for 86: Eighty-six

The Republic of the Holy Magnolia. This country was long besieged by its neighbor, the Giadian Empire, which created a series of unmanned drones called the Legion. After years of careful research, the republic eventually developed its own autonomous drones and turned the one-sided struggle into a casual war - or at least so the government claims.

In truth there is no such thing as a bloodless war. Behind the walls protecting the republic's eighty-five territories is the "nonexistent" "eighty-six sector". The young men and women of this deserted land are branded "The Eighty-Six" and lead the "unmanned" weapons into battle without humanity ... Shinn directs a detachment of eighty-six youths on the battlefield. Lena is a "manipulator" who, with the help of a special communication, commands the detachment from the far rear. The farewell story of the difficult and sad struggle between these two begins!
