The editorial Kadokawa unveiled the cover of this year’s 10th issue of the magazine Comptiq, to be released on September 10th in Japan. The cover shows the characters Shoukaku and Hornet from the franchise. Kantai Collection.

In addition, this issue will include a special printed illustration and an example of an ASMR recording of various girls from the franchise. On the other hand, the Kantai Collection started with the introduction of a free card game for browsers developed by Kadokawa games and distributed by DMM.com. The game launched in Japan in April 2013 and had three million registered users in just two years. This helped adapt the episode to a variety of different media, including a studio-produced twelve-episode anime adaptation. Diomedea, Headed by Keizou Kusakawa and scripts from Jukki Hanada, published January 2015.

Production of a second season has been confirmed since March 2015, but no production details have been released so far. However, it was recently announced that this second season would be officially titled as Kantai Collection: KanColle Zoku-hen, will reveal new details in the fall.

Kantai Collection Synopsis

Since the seas are constantly threatened by the enemy “Nether Fleet”, a special naval base is set up to deal specifically with them. Instead of standard naval weapons, however, the base is equipped with the “Kanmusu”, girls who harbor the ghosts of the most famous Japanese warships.

Fubuki, a young destroyer-type Kanmusu, joins the base as a new recruit. Unfortunately, despite her inexperience and shyness, she is assigned to the famous third squad of torpedoes and is quickly sent into the heat of battle. When the little rookie warship is saved from annihilation, it chooses to become as strong as the person who saved their life.
