Just over a year and a half has passed since the sad disappearance of Stan Lee, a revolutionary American cartoonist and spearhead of Marvel Comics. The passage of time, however, has not affected the spirit of the fans, who still make works of all kinds to pay homage to one of the most important authors of the twentieth century.
Precisely in this regard, we decided to show you a splendid mural popped up on the net a few hours ago, in which the cartoonist is portrayed in the company of some of the greatest Marvel superheroes invented by him. The mural was made in Paris, France, about a year ago, but for some reason it has never received attention on social media to date.
The masterpiece of French artists has been approved by the Mayor of the city, and reports a beautiful message that will make a few tears fall to fans: “Excelsior! You were the greatest hero to us!“.
Stan Lee passed away on November 12, 2018, at the age of 95, due to a heart attack caused by aspiration pneumonia that had tortured him for some time. The editorial director of Marvel, also known as The Man is The Smilin, completely revolutionized the world comic book market in the 20th century, creating iconic superheroes such as Iron-Man, Daredevil, the Fantastic 4, Hulk and Thor. The fact that the Paris City Council approves the creation of a mural of this type once again underlines the importance of his figure.
