One of the most anticipated rom-coms of the next spring season is Shikimori is not just a cutie, which was recently unveiled by a first teaser trailer. This short promotional video introduces the narrative to the public and introduces the two main protagonists of the work.
A few weeks after the announcement of the release date of Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie, accompanied by a beautiful key visual, the romantic comedy by Keigo Maki returns to show himself. An approximately one-minute teaser introducing viewers to the two protagonists has been released on the anime adaptation’s official website.
Expected for April 9, 2022 on Japanese channels Asahi Broadcasting, TV Asahi and 22 other affiliated networks, Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie tells the story of the Shikimori of the same name, a perfect girl, cute, funny and cute. Beneath these aspects, however, under the right circumstances, lies a dark and cold side that her friend Izumi adores.
Directed by Ryota Itoh at the Doga Kobo animation studio, Shikimori features an exceptional cast and follows in the footsteps of other hit rom-coms like Nagatoro-san and Komi Can’t Communicate. Will he be able to repeat their success? The manga this transposition is based on is published by Kodansha and has been featured in Magazine Pocket App since February 2019.
