Netflix is busy on the anime front, adding several products of the genre to its catalog every month. One of the most recent Japanese animation products added to its users was Record of Ragnarok in June.

Based on the manga Shumatsu no Valkyrie that is still running in Japan, Record of Ragnarok sees people and gods of various religions and beliefs in a legendary battle that will determine the fate of mortals. The first 12 episodes released on Netflix featured three of the 13 challenges that humans and gods will face, so only a small fraction of what lies ahead. When the second season of Record of Ragnarok comes out?

We don’t yet know if Netflix has found the anime’s results to be satisfactory, and for now there has been no news of an extension. Let us assume, however, that there is the possibility to see further episodes adapted from the manga: At the moment round 6 is running and will hardly end before the end of the year. Consequently Netflix and Graphinica Studio couldn’t start work on Record of Ragnarok 2 until 2022.

If you lay the foundation for the product next year, then a second season of Record of Ragnarok for 2023 would not be unthinkable. However, given the pace of production of the manga, this would mean a long wait for a possible third season. In short, the Record of Ragnarok times will be extremely extended. If you don’t want to wait, you can follow the manga published by Star Comics.
