After over twenty years of adventure, the Sun and Moon Ash Ketchum animated series has finally made the Pokémon League. Despite the championship title in his pocket, the trainer has not given up his dreams, on the contrary, he has embarked on a new journey alongside Go, the unpublished protagonist of Pokémon Explorations.
Although they have been traveling companions for some time, the historical protagonist apparently never has one basic detail on himself. When he arrives in the Alola region to compete in a special race, Ash casually mentions his previous league win. When Go hears these words, he is completely amazed; apparently he had no idea Ash was a Pokémon champion.
In episode 76 of the new anime series, the two protagonists register for their next race. Suddenly, however, Ash is approached by two children who absolutely want to take a picture with the first Champion of the Pokémon League of Alola. When he testifies to this, Go expresses his complete surprise. Only now does Ash realize that he never told his traveling companion about the league victory.
Ash may have forgotten that title, quite casually. His eyes are now actually on the victory of the Pokémon World Cup, an event where the best trainers from all Pokémon regions meet.
After 11 years, an old rival returns in episode 77 of Pokémon Expeditions. A voice actor suggests not to miss the next Pokémon episodes, an epic showdown is in sight!
