The character popularity polls are pretty famous in Japan, and Weekly Shonen Jump in particular has had a lot. Every manga that gets pretty famous gets at least one, while the sacred monsters like Naruto, Bleach, ONE PIECE and others have received several in their lifetime.
These polls were, until recently, exclusive to the Japanese readers of Weekly Shonen Jump with postcard voting. The publisher has also opened up to global initiatives, such as the one with which the new ONE PIECE survey was launched on a global level. You can vote for your favorite character by selecting almost everyone who appeared in the first 1000 chapters of ONE PIECE once a day from the website until February 28, 2021, the day of the voting period.
But it seems to be coming in the first few days a clear indication of who the winner might be. Artur – Library of Ohara shared pictures on the most prominent voices on January 6, and at the moment a duo of characters appears to be emerging that will play for first place. As you can see in the following pictures, Roronoa Zoro is the most popular character of the past few days in almost all continents, while Luffy only wins in Asia and ranks second in the other geographic sections.
The Third place appears to be a fight between Sanji and Trafalgar Lawalthough the latter only appears in the charts of Japan and Oceania for the time being. Did you choose your favorite character for EIN STΓCK in the global survey?
