On the official site for the animated adaptation of light novels by Okina Baba and illustrated by Tsukasa Kiryuu, Kumo desu ga, Nani ka? ((So I’m a spider, so what?) the distribution information for the project’s compiled Blu-ray / DVD volumes has been released, confirming that the series will have a total of 24 episodes.
- Volume 1 (episodes 1 to 6) – April 28, 2021.
- Volume 2 (Episodes 7-12) – June 30, 2021.
- Volume 3 (Episodes 13-18) – August 25, 2021.
- Volume 4 (episodes 19-24) – October 27, 2021.
The series is scheduled to premiere next January 8th in Japan and its airing has already been confirmed with a duration of two consecutive arcs (a duration of two arcs does not guarantee 24 episodes, for example the second season of Re: Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu it also has two arcs but 25 episodes).
On the other hand, in December 2015, Baba and Kiryuu started publishing the light novels through the publisher Fujimi Shobo. The publisher published the thirteenth volume on July 10 and the fourteenth on January 9 in Japan.

- Okina Baba and Yuuichirou Momose ((Infinite dendrogram, Erz ga Suki nano wa Imōto dakedo Imōto ja nai) are responsible for writing and monitoring the scripts.
- Kii Tanaka ((Hitoribocchi no Marumaruseikatsu, Hinomaru zumō) is responsible for the character design while Masahiko suzuki, Ryou Hirata and Hiromi Kimura You are responsible for the monster design.
- Shuuji Katayama is responsible for the composition of the soundtrack.
- Riko azuni plays the opening song titled “Keep Weaving Your Spider Way” while Aoi Yuuki plays the final song entitled “Gambare! Mr. Kumoko ”.
Synopsis of Kumo desu ga, Nani ka?
The world in which the hero and the demon king continue to face each other. The great magic of the hero and the demon king crosses worlds and explodes in the classroom of a certain high school.
The students who died in the explosion will be reborn in another world. The protagonist, who has the lowest reputation in the class, was reborn as a spider. With great willpower, however, she quickly adapted to the present state. This is the story of a spider who tries everything to survive.
