On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Hiromi Takashima, Asagao to Kase-san, a special eight-minute video was published in commemoration of the Tanabata festival. The video features the opening of the episode.

The film was released in theaters in Japan on June 8, 2018. For his part, Takashima published the original manga through the magazine Hirari from the publisher Shinshokan until the closing of the same in 2014. The series is now published through the website Web Wings from the same publisher. The publisher published the most recent volume on February 11.

For its part, the film was produced by studios Zexcs under the direction of Takuya Satou and scripts written by Takeshi Kuchiba.

Synopsis of Asagao to Kase-san

Yui Yamada, a shy girl who enjoys taking care of her school gardens, falls in love with Tomoka Kase, a rather athletic girl. The two, although they have nothing in common, eventually start dating, and the story focuses on the pair and the difficulties they will have to face from time to time.
