There are video games that have a name that resonates over time. Capcom, a well-known Japanese sales and manufacturing company, has developed many over the years. Among the various remakes, reboots, spin-offs and sequels, the Onimusha name shines, set in a newly revisited feudal Japan, which has now sold eight million copies around the world.

The title landed in the center of attention Netflix who decided to make an anime out of it. During the Tudum Japan event that took place in the last few hours, the portal announced that this will be the case produced an anime by Onimusha which will appear on the platform in the coming months. The entire Capcom saga is being considered for the adaptation.

Directed by Takashi Miike, a very famous director not only in the Land of the Rising Sun, who has staged projects such as Ichi the Killer, L'Immortale, Crows Zero, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable and Terraformars. The studio chosen for the animation is Sublimation, with Shinya Sugai in charge of directing. Some have been revealed Pictures of Onimusha visible in the gallery below, which also notes that the late actor Toshiro Mifune was taken as a model for Miyamoto Musashi.

During the same event, the anime Moonrise was revealed, which also features Fullmetal Alchemist's Hiromu Arakawa.
