Good news for fantasy fans! The second season of the anime adaptation of the light novels “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy” is here. A new promotional video has been revealed, featuring a snippet of the new opening theme song, “Joushiki Hazure Human” performed by Kaori Maeda.

The second season started airing on January 8 in Japan and will have a total of twenty-five episodes. The first season, which premiered during the Summer-2021 season, had twelve episodes.

Meet the Production Team

  • Shinji Ishihira (Fairy Tail, Log Horizon, Super Lovers) is in charge of directing this second season in the studios JCSTAFFwhich replace the studies C2C who produced the first season.
  • Kenta Ihara (Youjo Senki, Kono Yuusha ga Ore TUEEE Kuse ni Shinchou Sugiru, Ore Dake Haireru Kakushi Dungeon: Kossori Kitaete Sekai Saikyou) returns to take charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
  • Yukie Suzuki (Fight League: Gear Gadget Generators) returns to handle character design.
  • Yasuharu Takanashi (Fairy Tail, Log Horizon, Super Lovers) returns to be in charge of composing the soundtrack.

A Glimpse into the Story

Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy follows the story of Makoto Misumi, an ordinary high school boy sent to a new world as a brave warrior. Banished to the desert by the goddess of the new world, Makoto encounters various fantastical creatures and survives in this world while facing various threats.
