Readers have learned one thing ONE PIECE is the genius of Eiichiro Oda, an author who does and says nothing haphazardly. Coincidentally, a seemingly insignificant statement of his in 2016 spoiled the ending of the final battle of the Wano saga.
The fight between Kaido and Luffy was nothing short of epic, certainly not unpredictable for narrative purposes, but certainly not without twists and turns. Yet how many of you remember that Oda’s statement from 2016 and that we report verbatim here?
“When Kaido was introduced I said Luffy still wasn’t able to defeat such a strong guy. And I’m actually still trying to figure out how Luffy found out. My readers will certainly not be satisfied when Kaido is defeated by a very powerful punch from Luffy. Luffy and I need to find a solution.“
To make everything even more exciting, the result of the fight was made possible by the protagonist’s single mammoth strike against the Emperor. And you on the other hand, what do you think of this spoiler by the same author 7 years ago? As usual, let us know what you think with a comment below.
