As the 103rd volume of ONE PIECE is released in Japan with the Gear Fifth in sight, we find ourselves grappling with a new phase of combat in the weekly releases. After a very brief hiatus when everything seemed to be going well, things changed in Wano due to theArrival of Admiral Ryokugyu.
This continues his devil fruit in ONE PIECE 1055, which is about the fight against the Red Sheaths and the young Momonosuke. The Admiral manages to create tendrils that block the young dragon, but he begs Yamato not to intervene. In fact, it is necessary for him and the samurai to take care of their enemy alone, so there prove they can defend Wano on their own. Raizou, Denjiro and the others’ attacks don’t work, instead they end up in the trap.
Elsewhere, Sukiyaki and Robin are joined by Law, who follows them into the depths of Wano. In fact, the island actually appears to have been much larger, but the building of the walls caused a flood that forced the citizens to build the city on Mount Fuji. And here in the depths there is the longed-for Road Poneglyph useful to achieve the One Piece.
You then return outside the Capital of Flowers, where Momonosuke successfully uses a boro breath, which worries Ryokugyu. But the admiral backs off in earnest when he hears Shanks’ Haki roaring from the edge of the island. As the Marine escapes, Luffy happily watches the scene and remembers that familiar presence.
