- Chapter 1040 of ONE PIECE is entitled “Words that have no effect on the new generation”.
- On the cover, Niji and Yonji have a flashback explaining the moment they were defeated by Big Mom.
- Big Mom can withstand Kid’s attack. She then tries to take other life spans from those around her, but Law stops her.
- Kid keeps shooting at Big Mom until the ground collapses. Big Mom falls and reaches the armorywhich continues to fall all over Onigashima, taking both the bombs and Kazenbo with it.
- Remember Roger when Big Mom falls to the end of Onigashima. “Why didn’t you say that before you died, Roger?! What is One Piece and where is it?!”;
- Big Mom falls all the way to Wano and lands with the bombs and the kazenbo in the hole Law created with his technique. As he falls, the Empress tells Law and Kid not to believe that he will die so easily.
- A huge explosion can be seen in the hole. A story box proclaims Law and Kid the winners of the fight.
- Momonosuke tells Yamato that Zunisha is nearby. Yamato is surprised and asks if it is the elephant described in Oden’s journal.
- Momonosuke: “Yes! He is Joy Boy’s companion who committed a crime 800 years ago!!”.
ONE PIECE 1040 ends with this talk about Zunisha Chapter will be the last before a breakwith Chapter 1041 arriving in two weeks.
