The intense series of adventures that Monkey D. Luffy and his companions experienced in the land of Wa and on the island of Onigashima eventually involved them in incredible clashes made memorable by the meaning that this narrative arc represents inside ONE PIECE. After Zorro and Sanji’s battles, it’s now up to the captain to prove himself.

Already for the third time Luffy faces the colossal Emperor Kaido. On the highest point of the island of Onigashima, the two exponents of the old and new generation of pirates face each other: the big ones skull dome capable of instilling fear even miles away. The conclusion of the last chapter had shown how much fun the two captains were actually having, but it was difficult to predict the extravagant events narrated in the final date.

In fact, by chapter 1037, Kaido is so amused by the situation that he decides to drink and get drunk. Although Luffy initially seems troubled by the Emperor’s actions, Kaido bluntly states that he did recognize him as an opponent at his height, able to stand up to him in a way that hasn’t happened in years.

An unusual and totally unexpected realization that gives events a different turn and shows one Kaido possibly stronger than before thanks to the disappearance of inhibiting brakes. However, Luffy doesn’t lose focus even for a moment and ends up punching him hard. What do you think of this bizarre behavior of Kaido? Let us know what you think with a comment.

Finally we let you discover who are the 5 strongest pirates of ONE PIECE.
