On the official page for the anime adaptation of Light Novels written by Nigojuu and illustrated by Umibouzu, Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru (The detective is already dead), the cover and contents of the third compilation of the project’s Blu-ray / DVD package were revealed. The cover shows the characters Nagisa Natsunagi and siesta.
This pack will be released in Japan on January 26, 2022 and contains the ninth through twelfth episodes of this adaptation. The Blu-ray version will cost 14,300 yen (about $ 126) and the DVD version will cost 12,100 yen (about $ 107). Benefits include an original novella, a brochure with illustrations and production materials, and some promotional videos.
The series premiered during the 2021 summer season (July-September) and had a total of twelve episodes with the platform Funimation responsible for sales in the west. In addition, Nigojuu began posting the novels on the website Kakuyomu, and later began publishing on paper with illustrations by Umibouzu through the publisher Media factory in November 2019.

- Decoration Akao (Arakawa under the bridge, Tatoeba Last Dungeon Mae no Mura no Shōnen ga Joban no Machi by Kurasu Yō na Monogatari) was responsible for writing and overseeing the scripts.
- Yousuke itou (Kawaikereba hentai demo Suki ni Natte Kuremasuka?, Holmes in Kyoto Teramachi Sanjō, sama game) was responsible for the character design.
Summary of Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru
Kimizuka Kimihiko is a crisis magnet. From being caught at a crime scene to accidentally witnessing a drug deal, trouble seems to be around every corner. So it’s no wonder that your rather mundane flight suddenly falls into a state of emergency and urgently needs a detective on board. Unfortunately, his attempt to avoid trouble is thwarted by a beautiful silver-haired girl who goes by the name of Siesta. She declares herself a detective and unceremoniously pulls Kimizuka into the case as her assistant.
This incident marked the beginning of an adventure around the world that was beyond his wildest imagination. The two risked their lives, brought down criminal organizations, prevented disasters and saved thousands. But the curtain closed on his epic journey with Siesta’s untimely death three years later. This time, determined to live a normal high school life, Kimizuka spends a year holding back. However, according to fate, a girl with an uncanny resemblance to siesta rushes into his life and threatens to ruin his days of peace.
