While in ONE PIECE the fight against Powers of Kaido and Big Mom reaches its climax, which the last great generals faced Sanji and Zoro. As we saw earlier in the fight with King, Zoro struggled to inflict real damage on the superstar who fended off any attack from Zoro with ease.
But its story actually explains in part what is going on. It was said that King was part of an ancient and powerful race, and this has guaranteed him the great strength that he uses in the fight against Zoro.
The swordsman continues to raise his gaze and use it his new Haki of the Conqueror King to better handle Oden’s ancient sword Enma (one of the most powerful swords in the world of ONE PIECE) and slowly inflicts damage by destroying King’s suit. With this damage King finally shows his face completely and with it the fans get a brief glimpse into the past of the latter.
ONE PIECE Chapter 1035 continues the fight between Zoro and King, with the Mugiwara swordsman who understood If King doesn’t have his flames on his back, his defensive power is reduced, but he gains speed as a result. That way, one attack manages to do enough damage to sever King’s mask, and so King rips it off completely, revealing his face completely.
It turns out he kept his identity a secret because its black wings, white hair, and brown skin suggest a breed the Barry government would pay 100 million to find clues about it.
A look back at his past confirms the theories that he is Lunar. When Kaido first met him, King subjected the government to experiments. For this reason, Kaido frees him and takes him into his crew. In ONE PIECE 1035 we discover that King’s real name is Alber and he decides to join Kaido’s crew because he has the feeling that this pirate is it could help him change the world.
There are still a lot of things we don’t know about King, but at the same time, this look at his past (and therefore Kaido’s) helps a little to show why King fights so hard for his captain.
