My Hero Academia: World Heroes Mission returned to number one Japanese box office on its sixth weekend in theaters after a week off. In the second week of September, the film grossed 155,064,200 yen (approx. € 1.2 million) Reach 3 billion yen (approx. € 23.12 million).

This is a pretty surprising result, especially when you consider that the two previous films My Hero Academia: Two Heroes (2018) and My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising (2019) they had both stopped at 1.6 billion yen after all the hustle and bustle in the cinemas. Considering that My Hero Academia is generally more grossing in the West than it is in Japan, those three billion are an extremely promising starting point for Shueisha and BONES.

While My Hero Academia: World Heroes Mission returns to first place, Belle from Mamoru Hosoda goes down to the third, immediately after reaching 6 billion yen. This upheaval in the ranking is due to the introduction of Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings, the new Marvel movie, is now firmly in second place.

And what do you think? Happy with the success of My Hero Academia? Tell us in the comments! And don’t forget that the anime’s 5×24 episode will air this weekend, the penultimate of the season.
