Fault zone (The Phantom Zone), Junji Ito’s latest manga series, has just returned to the Japanese website ERA with a new chapter a few months after graduation. The three-time award-winning horror master Eisner has surprisingly announced that the series will continue with a second season and that new chapters will be published on the site every week.

Junji Ito started The Phantom Zone in April 2020 and presented it as a manga in which the horror was told “from a different angle” and published the final chapter on February 3, 2021. The series had moderate success in Japan and the mangaka have decided to work there again. The new chapters are published on the Japanese site every Tuesday, and the first is called Jinai no Mao (lit. The Dust Demon).

Junji Ito recently returned to the West with Sensor, one of his newest works, and two of his manga will soon receive anime adaptations. The implementation of the Junji Ito Masterworks Collection is currently in production, while Uzumaki will debut in 2022. The fact that the author has decided to start a new series despite the many commitments is certainly excellent news for all fans.
