The final episodes of the sixth season of My Hero Academy will lead to a new and fundamental phase of the story born from the mind of Kohei Horikoshi. Readers who follow the manga regularly already know what to expect, and unlikely as it may seem, they are craving an animated feature film dedicated to the dark version of Deku.
The unsettling aftermath of the conflict has weakened and demoralized the heroes, leaving an indelible mark on the Hero Society’s glory with Dabi’s revelations. Add to that the attack on the maximum security prison of Tartarus to free Villain, and the fact that Midoriya is the only one of the heroes who hasn’t recovered from the battle. Two days have passed and Deku is still in the hospital bed with All Might and his companions, hoping for an awakening
Despite the protagonist’s conditions, the debut on the screens of Dark Deku, a dark and lonely version of him whose manner can almost be associated with a vigilante, is not far off. This is one of the most interesting and surprising developments in the series, and according to some, it could be enough to make an excellent film, perhaps allowing more room for introspection and Deku’s profound changes in the face of the burden of his responsibilities.
