Synopsis of Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha

Nanoha Takamachi, an ordinary third grader girl who loves to hang out with family and friends, rescues an injured ferret she dreamed of the night before. The next day, the ferret telepathically yells at him, asks for his help, and turns out to be Yuuno Scrya, an otherworldly wizard who is trying to collect the 21 jewel seeds that he accidentally scattered around the world. The magician asks Nanoha for help, gives her the “Exalting Heart” wand and teaches her to become a powerful magical girl.

Days later, after some of the jewel seeds were found, another magical girl appears: Fate Testarossa. Fate is much more powerful than Nanoha and refuses to tell her her reasons for collecting the seeds, but Nanoha senses a certain melancholy in her eyes.
