Lum is an icon of Japanese culturecreated by mangaka Rumiko Takahashi in 1978. Also known as Urusei Yatsura, the series follows the adventures of Ataru Moroboshi, an ordinary boy who must cope with everyday life with Lum, the princess of an oni empire on an alien planet.
Lum is a character especially loved by Japanese and international audiences. His unique and distinctive appearance with horns and tiger stripe costume made the series instantly recognizable. The Lum manga has been selling a lot all over the world and because of that, an animated remake project has been done in the last year.
The Lum anime aired for several months but has now ended, albeit temporarily. As previously confirmed, new episodes of Lum appear. But if? The release date has just been confirmed by the official website with a special poster.
Lum will be back in 2024, so next year. As a result, David Production has several months to work on the remaining twenty episodes that will definitively complete this remake project that has made everyone fall in love again with the volcanic and irrepressible alien with a striped tiger costume. In total, the Lum anime will have 46 episodes, so the next phase of this anime will also last about another six months.
Below is the Poster created by the animators at David Production for Lum and uploaded to the official website, with the protagonist temporarily abandoning the costume – but not the horns on her head – to wear the blue school uniform.
