A new anime project for Kinnikuman was announced a few days ago to mark the 40th anniversary of the debut of the animated adaptation. Artist duo Yudetamago’s sci-fi wrestling series is making headlines again with the former Promotional poster celebrating the return of Kinnikuman.

Since 2006, when the last episode of the sequel Kinnikuman: Ultimate Muscle aired, the fight parody series has been far from the scene and on the verge of being born triumphant return to the ring.

To mark the 40th anniversary of the franchise, the production of a brand new anime has been officially announced, although not many details are known about it yet. For the time being, it is certain that it will not be a feature film, but an anime television series. It is not known if it will be a remake or a sequelwhile the release date should be within the year to celebrate the series’ anniversary.
