While fans around the world are waiting for the second season of the anime Jujutsu Kaisen produced by Studio MAPPA, the Manga series by Gege Akutami goes without too many incidents. However, the work published in Weekly Shonen Jump may soon welcome readers, as the author himself reports.
Recently, Gege Akutami has published numerous Statements and reflections on his work. The author of Jujutsu Kaisen has confirmed that he is near the end, but has also revealed the inspiration for the story’s protagonist and his favorite character.
The sensei previously revealed that he was inspired by a character from Bleach for Aoi Todo. Fans will find out this time Yuji Itadori is heavily inspired by Akutami’s older brother, who has a personality opposite to that of the author and is successful in everything he does, including sports and studies.
In the first part of the interview for a French magazine, Akutami spoke about the ethics of Jujutsu Kaisen. In the second part of the same it is reported that the master already has gods Plans for Yuji’s mother. However, the author is unsure whether to present Yuji’s father figure or not.
Finally, Akutami spoke about her favorite character. Initially, the mangaka’s favorite was Sukuna, inspired by the Shonen manga he read in the past, but this title then passed into the hands of another protagonist. Akutami’s favorite is Kento Nanami, the first character entirely created and developed by him.
