The Shueisha publishing house recently revealed new details on the sale of the Jujutsu Kaisen Manga, the dark fantasy manga by Gege Akutami, King of Weekly Shonen Jump. According to the latest official reports, Volume 17, due out October 4th in Japan, will receive a first edition of 2.15 million copies, a number that will bring the total circulation of the series to 55 million.
According to the editors Jujutsu Kaisen’s sales increased 650% over the past year, or rather from the broadcast of the first episode of the anime adaptation by MAPPA, which went from 8.5 to 55 million copies. This is the second-best growth of the year after that of Tokyo Revengers, the increased from 6.7 to 40 million copies in just six months.
According to the Shueisha document, the growth of Jujutsu Kaisen can be summarized as follows:

This is a huge hit for Gege Akutami’s manga, which was recently listed in the top 50 best-selling manga of all time. The work is currently in 40th place, under initial D and over City Hunter and Berserk.
