In the last fifty years and more Weekly Shonen Jump is released in Japan. Shueisha Publishing’s intuition to enter the massive manga magazine market, previously dominated by giants like Kodansha and Shogakukan, was spot on: within a few decades, they published the most famous works of all time.
First Dragon Ball, then Slam Dunk and ONE PIECE, to Demon Slayer’s contemporary hit: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Weekly Shonen Jump has seen many successful titles on its pages and certainly doesn’t intend to stop there. But how are those pages of the magazine produced that then bring the various stories written by the mangaka to Japan?
The official channel of the magazine publishes the Weekly Shonen Jump printing method, which allows fans to get closer to the world of industrial printing and show all the steps. The above video, which lasts almost half an hour, shows all the printing steps, from loading the paper to distinguishing the colored pages, joining and binding to distribution.
And so the magazine was completed, in this case with My Hero Academia on the cover. And the same process is the launch of Weekly Shonen Jump with the new two series just started.
