On the official page for the anime adaptation of light novels by ALREADY. and illustrated by Fuzichoco, Hachi-nan tte, sore wa Nai deshou!It has been reported that the anime’s Blu-ray BOX compilation volume has only reached 808 units sold since its launch on Aug 26 (i.e., its first week).

The volume was published at a price of 26,400 yen (including tax) and contains all twelve episodes of the series, the original soundtrack and an illustration booklet. A redemption code for the smartphone game will also be added.

ALREADY. began publishing the novels through the website Shousetsuka ni Narou Completed in June 2013 and March 2017. Then the publisher Media factory began its publication on paper through the seal MF books with illustrations by Fuzichoco in April 2014. The publisher published the nineteenth volume on March 25th.

A manga adaptation by Hiroki Kusumoto will be published on the website ComicWalker from the publisher Kadokawa since 2015. In December 2019 the publisher published the seventh compilation volume. Finally, a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by the studios Shin-egg animation, Headed by Tatsuo Miura and scripts from Takeshi Miyamoto, Premiere in April 2020.

Synopsis of Hachi-nan tte, Sore wa Nai deshou!

Shingo Ichinomiya is a 25 year old man who works in a permanent company. While he thinks about the busy work that awaits him tomorrow, he goes to sleep. When he wakes up the next morning, however, he finds that he is in an unfamiliar room and that he has taken over the body and mind of a 6-year-old boy.

He soon learns of the memories of the boy who was born the youngest son of a poor and noble family living in a distant country. Without administrative skills, there is nothing he can do to manage his family’s vast land.

Fortunately, he was gifted with a very rare talent, the talent of magic. Unfortunately, although her talent could bring wealth to her family, it only brought disaster.

This will then be the story of the boy Wendelin Von Benno Baumeister and how he will pave his own way through a rough new world.
