A leak revealed that the second season of the animated manga adaptation was written and illustrated by Negi Haruba, Gotoubun no Hanayome ((The quintessence of the quintuplets), officially titled as Gotoubun no Hanayome ∬will have a total of twelve episodes. The information will be confirmed shortly with the disclosure of the distribution of the compiled volumes.
The series premiere is scheduled for January 7, 2021 in Japan. However, the premiere was scheduled for the month of October this year as the COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on production. The premiere has been postponed until January 2021.
For his part, Haruba published the manga in the magazine Weekly Shonen Magazine from the publisher Kodansha between August 2017 and February 2020. The publisher has compiled the work in a total of fourteen volumes and broadcast the first season in January 2019 in Japan. The manga has been published again in color in volume format since April 2020 and recently passed 13.5 million copies in circulation.
