There are mangaka who, despite their age, work continuously on their works and, thanks to unwavering devotion, carry them on even with difficulty and fatigue. Takao Saito was one of them. The author, born in November 1936, made his debut with Kuki Danshaku in 1955, but his most famous work is Golgo 13, with which he won the Shogakukan Prize.
Unfortunately, Takao Saito passed away on September 24, 2021 at the age of 84 because of pancreatic cancer. However, the prolific mangaka has decided not to leave his magnificent work unfinished despite his death.
