Dealing with the end of a job is never easy. While some find ways to continue with sequels, others, like Attack on Titan’s Hajime Isayama, dream of a normal life. Still others react as if they had lost a child.
This is the case with Hideaki Anno, the director of Neon Genesis Evangelion. A recently published online excerpt of an interview emphasizes how much the Sensei suffered when his work ended on March 27, 1996.
There The ending of the television anime series Evangelion brought Anno downwho had to be referred to a specialist. The director expected to have to deal with talk therapy and therefore have to see a psychologist, but that was not the case. In fact, Anno was prescribed medication, a perhaps premature cure that left Evangelion’s creator ecstatic. Furthermore, the director has stated that he never had the opportunity to get married and that at some point in his life he really wanted to have a child.
Perhaps these are the reasons that led to the production of the Rebuilding Evangelion, the tetralogy of movies that recently ended with the arrival of Evangelion 3.0 + 1.01 Thrice Upon a Time. Will Hideaki Annoa be able to respond positively to the completion of his creation this time?

I wanted something like this rather than heal myself, but he just prescribed me some meds and that was all. I was shocked and went home. That was so boring.I was hoping I would have a good conversation. I still had so much energy at this stage. So I got over the neurosis. pic.twitter.com/pI4ZzyAdeM
