Rent a Girlfriend, official: the anime’s second season is coming in 2022

The official event was streamed live a few hours ago Event after Kanojo -EveKano- organized by TMS to celebrate the success of Hire a girlfriend, the famous manga by Reiji Miyajima. On the occasion, the cast of the anime series also took part, which revealed the opening window of the second season in a final twist.

As you can see below, the voice actresses of the four protagonists have confirmed this Rent a Girlfriend 2 will arrive in 2022in about a year. The first season premiered in July 2020 and taking into account TMS’s various commitments that are currently being adapted to adaptations by Dr. Stone, Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles, Megalobox 2 and Fruits Basket are working. It’s about a perfectly acceptable wait.

In the first season of Rent a Girlfriend, the first six volumes of the manga were adapted over a period of twelve episodes. The work currently has nineteen volumes, a twentieth of which has already been announced, and is expected to release at least five or six more volumes before the season two debut. The material is enough to create a double cour season, a choice that would justify waiting even more. In Italy, distribution will be transferred to J-Pop Manga, which will publish the first volume in a few days on March 3, 2021.
