The latest edition of EmpyreThe fourth hit the comic book shelves today. The register sees marriage in the marriage of one of fans’ favorite couples, Teddy Altman and Billy Kaplan.
The wedding ceremony took place before the start of the event, and was commented on by the writer Al Ewing with the following statements:
“I love Hulking and Wiccans a lot, both individually and in twos. So it’s a great feeling to be able to give readers this kind of ‘shock’ which hopefully will lift the spirits of the fans a little bit, rather than knock them down.”
Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheing were the first creators of the Hulkling and Wiccan. On the occasion of the launch of the Young Avengers in 2005. Since then, the two characters can be seen in different stories from the Marvel universe, including Avengers: Children’s Crusade, New Avengers, Strikeforce.
Further details on Hulkling and Wiccan will be published in Empyre Issue 5which is expected to go on sale next week. Then their stories continue in Empyre: Avengers Aftermath # 1, which is slated for release in September.
Empyre screenwriter Al Ewing spoke about the consequences of the event for the Marvel Universe. The fourth volume of Empyre confirms the existence of Yoda in the Marvel universe.
