The cereal survival saga has transported the protagonists Goku and Vegeta to a new planet – and to new frontiers of their own body and mind – but they also contributed to it learn more about the Saiyans and Namekkians of Dragon Ball Super. Indeed, the past was at the center of these final chapters of the manga.
We learned of the true purpose of the Namekkian Dragon Balls, but also that this green race is not native to Universe 7. Monaito reveals that grain was just one of the planets that the Namekkians came from another “realm”. What is the true origin of the Namekkians??
For now, Dragon Ball Super has not given any clear answers. The Toyotaro manga has yet to venture into the past of this green-skinned race that could even stand at the end of this current saga. There are just a few hypotheses at stake right now. The first is that the Namekkians come from one of the 12 Dragon Ball Super universesbut not 6. In the latter, the Namekkians Saonel and Pirina are actually present, as well as many others of that lineage, but considering that some of them still live there, it would be difficult to understand this exodus from Universe 6 to Universe 7.
More likely it is one of the four strongest universes that has weighed on the survival of this race, who know their way around very well on the spiritual front and less on the physical than those who live in the strongest universes, and so say goodbye to their homeland, then arrive in universes 6 and 7. The second possibility is that i Namekkians actually come from another unclear “realm”, a kind of multiverse parallel to that of Dragon Ball Super and would thus open up endless possibilities for the story to develop.
