This is a special case where an animation studio from China is responsible for producing a project based on original material from Japan. For their part, Enomoyo and Syugao published the light novels through the publisher’s label Bunko sneakers from Kadokawa between February 2018 and September 2019 and summarizes the work in a total of three volumes. Summary of Yowai 5000-nen no Soushoku Dragon, Iwarenaki Jaryuu Nintei
To say a 5,000 year old dragon sounds impressive, but that dragon was an extremely harmless herbivorous creature. Due to his uselessly gigantic figure and terrifying appearance, however, he was mistaken for the chief executive of the Demon King and the nearby village provided him with a sacrificial maiden. The dragon, basically cowardly and shy, tried to push her away, but the extremely enthusiastic sacrificial woman did not want to give up.
Inevitably she lied, “Okay, I’ve only eaten a small part of your soul, so you can go back now,” but the virgin understood with her outrageous assumptions that she was now a relative of the dragon. Then she began to manifest a strange power of all things, based on her wrong assumptions – the defenseless dragon in turn accidentally started a rebellion against the Demon King. Rebellion or not, he wasn’t even his subordinate.
