Based on the events of the first saga of Dragon Ball great Goku and Vegeta train together with Beerus and Whis. The arrival of Champa, the god of destruction of the sixth universe, and Vados and their interest in the exquisite food of the earth leads to the organization of a new tournament. This is how it begins Saga of Universe 6, second in the series.
The rules are simple: five challengers for Universo, and the seven Super Dragon Balls as a prize for the winning universe. After accepting the challenge, the protagonists have two main goals: recover the seven superspheres and find three other fighters willing to enter the tournament. The third defender is Monaka, considered very strong by Beerus himself, while Majin Buu and Piccolo are recruited fourth and fifth.
The time has come and after three days of training in the space of mind and time, Goku and Vegeta reunite with their companions to take part in the tournament being organized on the nameless planet. The protagonists meet their opponents for the first time: Botamo, Frost, Magetta, Cabba and Hit. All but Majin Buu pass the preliminary written test, and for that, Universe Seven has one less defender to count on.
The first fight between Goku and the defiant Botamo ends with the protagonist winning because he threw the opponent out of the ring. Frost enters the field, a creature very similar to Freeza, capable of attaining various stages of evolution like the former Galactic Emperor. Despite Goku is superior to Frost in Super Saiyan formmysteriously passes out, and it’s up to Piccolo to defend Universe Seven.
Only during the fight and thanks to Jaco’s attention do you understand the reason for Frost’s victory: poisonous needles. Goku and Piccolo are sent back into the race, but Vegeta takes care of defeating Frost. The next opponent is Magetta, who gets the Saiyan Prince in trouble by taking advantage of the lava in his body. Determined to win, however Vegeta unleashes a spectacular Final Flash and sends his universe to further advantage.
Cabba turns out to be the Saiyan from Universe 6, and Vegeta decides to teach him how to reach the Super Saiyan level and then easily KOs him, turning into Super Saiyan Blue. Hit enters the field as the sixth universe’s final fighter, proving he can dodge Vegeta’s punches while also hitting him without him being able to fight back. Hit then defeats the princethe one who managed to stop three out of five opponents and it’s Goku’s turn again.
The protagonist, like the king of the Milky Way, understands that Hit manages to move in this imperceptible way, performing a very fast time jump. Goku realizes this and faces Hit. use the Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken for the first time, and to destroy his technique. Goku, however, feels under Beerus’ orders and decides to leave the ring and deliver the round’s victory to Hit.
It’s Monaka’s turn, who terrified hits Hit with a fist, determined to thank Goku for the gesture just before, has himself sent out of the ring. The Seventh Universe then won the tournament.
