Ash Ketchum has finally given up the Pokémon anime after 25 years of starring, leaving the baton to Liko and Roy, the two young trainers who, starting April 14, 2023, will usher in the new era of the series by embarking on a journey to discover the region of Paldea in Pokemon Horizons .
A few days after the official debut of their adventure Liko and Roy have been featured in new official images alongside the pocket monsters that will be their trusty companions. In the two posts shown below, shared by the @anipoke_PR social media page, Ash’s successors can actually be seen before the actual launch. Liko is shown between the school desksdressed in typical Japanese uniforms, and looks worried while her delicate sprigarito seems to want to tell her something by staring at her.
In the second post it is noted instead Roy, with a much more casual design, along with Fuecoco, another starter from the region where the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet video games are set. A detail that attracts attention is the presence of the strange Pokéball, which will play a very important role as the series progresses, as already anticipated by the various posters and visuals released in the past.
