The next appointment with the anime franchise by Dragonball Super is set for April 2022, the month in which the revolutionary superhero film makes its official debut in Japanese cinemas. Will this animated film just be the prelude to a new era for the brand?
If you’ve seen even part of the film’s development, you already know. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will abandon the standard canon to a. switch new graphic stylewho have favourited 3DCG. This is a very important step that can mean for TOEI and for Dragon Ball Failure or success. From what we’ve seen so far, we’d focus more on the second one.
But not only that, the film it will take the limelight from Goku and Vegeta, so far undisputed protagonists, to give secondary characters like Piccolo and Pan a chance. However, the scene should be dominant Gohanwho would go so to reclaim the place it had taken during the Cell saga. Will Goku and Chi-Chi’s eldest son become the strongest fighters on earth?
So Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero could be a Indication of the future of the series, a future that would be shaped by Computer graphics and exactly from Gohan. If the anime series really did return in 2022, as rumored for the past few days, it would most likely take over the 3DCG. But not only that, and what if at the end of the Granolah saga a bow was pointed at Gohan? That way, the film could be canonically linked to the manga.
