Chapter 73 of Dragon Ball Super is available on MangaPlus and has blown everyone with a great twist. How will the battle between Granolah and the Saiyans continue? Let’s find out together.

Chapter 73 starts right where the previous one left off, with Goku Super Saiyan Blue ready to take on Granolah. Thanks to a long training session under the direction of Whis, the protagonist avoids all energy spheres of the opponent and forces him to retreat. Granolah understands that the open field situation could prove difficult and decides to take up the fight in a forest, where, thanks to his great mobility and knowledge of the territory, he can inflict the first damage on Goku.

Goku immediately realizes that the situation could get complex, and Activate Ultra Instinct after exchanging a few hits. Goku’s power-up surprises Granolah, who, thanks to the power hidden in his right eye, notices various changes in the Saiyan’s cells, starting with the flow of blood. Goku Super Saiyan Blue Ultra Instinct proves to be too strong an opponent even for “the strongest warrior in the universe”, but Granolah still has one card to play.

In an exchange of blows Goku is preparing for the Kamehameha. in front, and after getting closer to him, the wave of energy starts causing serious damage to the opponent’s body. At the same time, however Granolah uses her right eye to find a vital spot in Goku’s body, and agrees to be hit to damage the Saiyan’s vulnerability. Goku loses his transformation and collapses to the ground, and Granolah prepares to finish him off after revealing that what motivates him is a desire for revenge. Goku thinks that Ultra Instinct shouldn’t leave a point exposed, and after realizing its limits, he uses teleportation and returns to Vegeta.

Once gathered Vegeta tells Goku the story of Cereal’s conquestrevealing that the Saiyans under Freezer’s tyranny were forced to kill a species specialized in snipers. The two understand the Heeter family’s betrayal and Granolah’s real motivation, but considering the Cerelean doesn’t seem ready to argue, Goku realizes that the first thing to do is win the fight.

The protagonist returns to battle and activates Ultra Full Instinct, leaving Granolah speechless. With the power of angels Goku deals a series of horrific blows to the opponentthat does not find any weak spots even with the right eye. The fight quickly turns into a one-way street, and once down, Granolah decides to expose his deception.

In reality, the real Granolah has always been in his ship, and Goku struggled the whole time with an illusion with only 50% of his true power. Granolah thought he would save his strength for Freezer, but once he understood the level of his opponent, he remembers his illusion and enters the fight, surprisingly striking the protagonist in the heart.

When he approaches Goku to finish him off, Vegeta steps in to protect his friend, provoke the opponent and declare that “he will kill him as he killed his species long ago”. Vegeta’s words infuriate Granolah and with that threat chapter 73 ends.
