On the official website for the new animation project of the franchise by black Rock Shooter, which is titled Black Rock Shooter: DAWN FALL, a new promotional image for the project was released. The press release confirmed that there will be a preview on February 25 at Tokyo’s Shinjuku Piccadilly Cinema and that an illustration competition will be held pixiv in the period from January 28 to February 27 of this year. The premiere of this project is scheduled for the spring season 2022 (April-June) in Japan, during DisneyPlus takes care of international sales.
black Rock Shooter is a multimedia franchise based on characters created by the illustrator Ryouhei Fuke, also known as Hooke. A 50 minute OVA was produced by Yutaka Yamamoto in the studios orde and launched in July 2010. Various spin-offs followed this project, highlighting a series of eight episodes co-produced by the same studio Sanzigen animation studios, aired February 2012. The franchise also inspired several manga series and a video game for the PlayStationPortable, each of which has its own universe.

Summary of Black Rock Shooter
On the first day of high school, Mato Kuroi accidentally meets Yomi Takanashi, a shy and withdrawn girl who he is immediately interested in. Mato tries to engage Yomi in conversation as he wants to befriend her. She dodges her at first, but the ice is broken when Yomi notices a decorative blue bird attached to Mato’s phone, which is from the book Li’l Birds At Play. When they discover they have a common interest, the two form a strong friendship. In an alternate universe, the girls exist as parallel beings, Mato as the Black★Rock Shooter and Yomi as the Dead Master. Somehow, what happens in one world seems to have an effect in the other, and without realizing it, the girls unknowingly become entangled in the threads of fate.
