The narrative arc of the Mugen train finally comes to an end in Demon Slayer 2×08, which begins with a new topic. Both sides, the heroes and villains of the Battle Shonen series, collect the parts of the devastating battles that took place.
While Tanjiro and his friends went out to find out more about the Technique known as solar breathing, the narrative arc of the red light district reveals the Fate of Akaza and the problems he now faces after battling the Rengoku Pillar of Flames in Demon Slayer 2×07.
During the events of the Mugen train, Akaza appeared after the murder of Enmu, the demon of the waning moons who put Tanjiro, Rengoku, Inosuke and Zenitsu into dreams in which they could live their greatest desires.
Instead, Akaza is a crescent moonthird power level to be precise and sees fighting as fun, but that doesn’t stop him from unleashing incredibly deadly attacks and being responsible for the death of Rengoku, the pillar of flame.
In the last moments of their gigantic struggle Akaza had to flee before meeting Tanjiro. could kill and his fellow demon slayer who rushes into the shadows of the forest to escape certain death that sunlight would cause.
At the beginning of the Red Light District arc, we see that Muzan has chosen to take the form of a little boy who appears to have settled in the home of a wealthy businessman. When Akaza Muzan reports the results of his battle, Demon number one demonstrates his power by almost killing Akaza with his finger.
He accuses him of being a failure who was unable to eliminate all members of the Demon Slayer Corps. At this point, Akaza leaves his master’s residence and embarks on a journey to accomplish his task.
Tanjiro still has a long way to go before he has a chance to win against Akaza, especially considering that one of the pillars, Rengoku, ultimately died given the abilities of this high-ranking demon.
Even if the series protagonist in Demon Slayer 2×08 learns more about Sun Breathing, it is clear that he has to train as hard and as quickly as possible in order to take out not only Akaza, but also his boss. Muzan, responsible for killing his family and turning his sister into a demon.
