As part of the celebrations for the 15th anniversary of the original anime Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion) it was announced that the series will have a remake with new songs that will debut on Japanese television on October 1st.

  • FLOW will list the new opening theme. The same band played the original opening song entitled “COLORS”.
  • TK by Ling Tosite Sigure will list the new ending theme. The band ALI project performed the original theme song entitled “Yuukyou Seishunka”.
Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch

The series airs on the Animeism block of MBS, TBS, and BS-TBS in Japan, the same one it aired fifteen years ago in October 2006. The original series premiered on October 6, 2006 in Japan and was entitled with a total of 25 episodes, a second season, also 25 episodes Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch R2, premiered in Japan on April 6, 2008. This was followed by a film project entitled Code Geass: Fukkatsu no Lelouch, which premiered in Japan on February 9, 2019. This part was developed in an alternate universe that followed the three compilation films released in Japan between 2017 and 2018.

Code Geass Content: Hangyaku no Lelouch

In 2010, the Holy Empire of Britain established itself as the most powerful military nation in the world, beginning with the conquest of Japan, renamed Area 11 after its devastating defeat. However, Japan refused to bow to the empire’s policies, and several residents give birth to possible independence.

Lelouch Lamperouge, a student in Britannia, unfortunately gets caught in the crossfire between the warriors of Britannia and the rebels of Area 11. Lelouch escapes, however, thanks to the timely appearance of a mysterious girl named CC, who grants him a geass known as “Will des.” King’s”. Lelouch recognizes the potential of his new “power of absolute obedience” and, in the form of the masked “Zero”, embarks on a journey that leads a bloody rebellion against the Holy Kingdom of Britain.
