The debut of Boruto: Naruto the Next Generations 73 on Manga Plus was greeted with numerous reviews. The chapter where Shikamaru shows the guys of the new Team 7 the plan he has devised starts with a colored cover dedicated to Sarada. This design has caused some controversy among fans.

For this Cover photo created by Mikio Ikemotowhich you will find at the end of the article, Sarada Uchiha wears a brand new dress. However, Boruto’s kunoichi’s outfit reignited an old controversy against the illustrator, and discussions about Sarada’s design in Boruto continue.

Sarada’s new design consists of a short green dress, a pair of gloves and a dark blue tie around the neck that takes us back to the origins of the character, and pink ninja accessories. According to some fans, this dress would be too mature for a girl who would currently be 12-13 years old. Even if compared to Masashi Kishimoto’s original Sarada designwe can see how this new one from Ikemoto is downright uncomfortable for a kunoichi about to fight.

Other fans have instead defended Ikemoto’s decision, stating that Sarada can dress however she wants without following any standards, and that young Uchiha is actually much more mature than her chronological age. However, it must be borne in mind that Sarada’s wardrobe, created by Ikemoto, includes dresses that are too short and high heels that for a ninja they would be an obstacle. And what do you think of the question?
