In this first part of Bleach: Thousand Years of Blood War Kurosaki Ichigo has been defeated in every way. The pale-haired protagonist has not only lost his zangetsu, but has also seen his faith shaken. What is his past hiding?
In Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War 1×10, Ichigo went to the Hooden where he met Zero Division Captain Oetsu Nimaiya, the only one who can repair his zanpakutΕ. However, unlike his friend Abarai, Ichigo failed the test he was subjected to and thus failed to prove that he was a proud shinigami. Nimaiya therefore expelled him from the Royal Palace and after denying him the opportunity to return to Soul Society, he sent back to the human world.
In Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War 1×11, Ichigo returns home and finds himself lost outside the family clinic. If he really intends to save his companions and Soul Society, the Substitute Shinigami has to be there come to terms with his true identity, doubted by the words of Yhwach. The leader of the Wandenreich had actually defined him as one of his sons after seeing him use one of the Wandenreich’s abilities quincy. Really, Ichigo is somehow related to those exterminated by Shinigami?
In Thumbnails of the penultimate episode In the first part of the Thousand Years’ War we see a young Isshin Kurosaki and Ichigo’s mother Masaki Kurosaki.
