Black clover has been repeatedly criticized for hiding some similarities with other famous works of the same genre such as Fairy Tail or Naruto. It is precisely this last title that seems to have been taken as inspiration for the characterization of a character so dear to the community in this regard.
Black Clover’s latest chapter opened the doors to one new background to Captain Yami, especially considering his past, of which we know little or nothing. We know this was the Black Bulls’ No.1 pick originally from the land of the sunthe location where Asta is currently located, but which for one reason or another was later removed until reaching the Kingdom of Clover.
In the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, Yami’s sister predicts what may have prompted Yami to leave his homeland: the annihilation of his own clan. We don’t yet know the dynamics that led the famous character to such an action. Many, of course, couldn’t help but notice that someone in Naruto was doing the exact same thing, viz Itachi Uchihaalbeit for a very specific reason, which only became apparent later.
In your opinion though Yuki Tabata is he copying the treacherous ninja for the characterization of Yami? As usual, let us know what you think about it by leaving a comment in the appropriate box at the bottom of the page.
