The recurring character in Attack On Titan 4×22 finally revealed his backstory in the most talkative way we could remember the character. Though encased in an impenetrable cocoon created by his own gigantic power, annie has been semi-conscious for the past four years.
After hearing Hitch and Armin speak during their visits, Annie decided it was time to be heard, and she finally explained why she did what she did when she first infiltrated the island of Paradis. Unlike Marley’s other warrior candidates, Annie wasn’t radicalized against the Eldians, she just didn’t care about anyone’s life.
Annie spent her entire childhood in rigorous combat training with her adoptive father, learning her native country’s unique fighting style. When Annie could master the fighting style, she injured her father so badly that he broke his leg so he could never walk properly again.
The result of Annie’s difficult childhood is this He never developed the ability to care for any life – the Marleyan, the Eldian, the insect or even your own. Annie’s sadistic slaughter of hordes of Research Corps members in Season 1 wasn’t because she hated the Eldians, but because She just doesn’t care about life.
Marley taught Annie and the other warrior candidates that any killing of soldiers or civilians committed in an act of war was justified, which was perfect for Annie since she had no mercy anyway.
The morning Annie would leave on her mission to retrieve the primeval giant from the island of Paradis, Her father broke down in tears and apologized for raising her that way. He then begged her to come back alive and not bother about being an honorary Marleyan anymore. as long as she could return.
On this occasion, Annie first showed emotion to tearsand has decided to devote himself entirely to the mission in order to finish it as soon as possible and return to his father.
Now that Annie has awakened all these years later, her focus remains unchanged: He wants to go home to his father. Unfortunately, he may not have a father to return to. After the Eldians in the Liberian Detention Zone tried to warn Marley del Boato, a fight ensued, in which Annie’s father punched a guard and a gunshot was heard.
Although the shot turned out to be a ruse and Annie’s father is fine, the roar is still going on and Eren has already hinted that no one would be spared beyond the Isle of Paradis, which means the Eldians in Marley are doomed.
Annie Leonhart has been away from the show for so long that it’s unclear what role she might play in the future. The warrior realizes that now that the roar has begun, there is little chance of being reunited with her father, but she still cares for nothing and no one.
