Posted on the official Twitter account for the anime adaptation of the light novels by Shu and illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma, Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha (The outsider of the Demon King Academy) updated the promotional image and announced that the season 2 premiere is scheduled for 2023 in Japan.
This announcement comes after more than eight months with no new news from the franchise, the last update is when Yuichiro Umehara was announced as the new voice of the protagonist years of Voldigoadreplaces the fired and controversial voice actor Tatsuhisa Suzuki.
This second season will be confirmed with two arcs (two quarters) issued separately. The first season itself premiered during the season of Summer 2020 (July-September) in Japan and had a total of thirteen episodes crispy roll takes care of sales in the west. Summary of Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha
In the distant past, a war between humans and demons caused widespread chaos and bloodshed. To end this seemingly endless conflict, Demon King Anos Voldigoad willingly sacrificed his life in hopes of being reborn in a peaceful future. In preparation for their king’s return, the demon race established the Demon King Academy, an elite institution tasked with determining the identity of Anos when he awakens. He is reborn two millennia later, but to his surprise, he soon discovers that the level of magic in the world has dropped drastically during his absence.
When he enrolls in the academy to reclaim his rightful title, he finds that the demons remember him differently. His personality, his actions and even his legacy are being falsified, masquerading under the name of an imposter. This “lack” of general knowledge makes him the outlier of the academy, an outsider unlike any in history. Despite these disadvantages, Anos is undeterred. As he sets out to uncover those who changed his glorious past, he takes it upon himself to make his descendants realize that their ruler has finally returned.
