With so many years of publishing, Isayama has obviously written a lot over time.

but There is something about Attack on Titan that the author would have liked to change? During an interview published on Crunchyroll, Isayama answers this question: "During the conclusion of the series, were there any aspects of the story that you wanted to change?"

"Actually yes, I have. Every time I look at the story I've written I see so many things that I wish I had recognized differently. It's hard to pinpoint what it was. Whenever I look at my past stories, I always think, you know — I feel remorse and regret when I look back."

So no specific scene or character is mentioned, just a general impression. What exactly the mangaka wants to change is therefore not known, even if a decision in this sense is difficult to make with the story set in stone. But he does know for sure that he wrote a controversial ending to Attack on Titan.

However, as he emphasizes in the next question, the author himself changed during the publication. In fact, Isayama stresses that initially he was withdrawn and unable to relate to others, and this was exactly what drove him to write The Attack of the Giants in the beginning, but overcame it as he grew up and matured he this problem.
