The year of publication in Japan lasts from the beginning of December to the end of November and is therefore somewhat out of phase with the calendar year. But that means it is ended the 2022 editorial year of Weekly Shonen Jump. In fact, in the last week of 2023, the magazine has already started, complete with a change in graphics and sections.

The most famous manga magazine in the world publishing ONE PIECE, My Hero Academia, Black Clover and many others is one of the very few that puts its manga on the covers rather than the gravure idols to attract customers. This means that the 52 annual releases of Weekly Shonen Jump see the presence of its most famous protagonists and a user has decided to recover them all, merging them in a graph that can be seen in the shot below.

So here it is all 52 covers of Weekly Shonen Jumpdivided as follows:

  • Eight covers for ONE PIECE;
  • Four covers for Sakamoto Days
  • Three covers for My Hero Academia;
  • Two covers for Jujutsu Kaisen, Undead Unluck, Me & Roboko, Witch Watch, Blue Box and Mashle;
  • A cover for Dr. Stone, The Elusive Samurai, Akane Banashi and Black Clover;
  • Ten covers dedicated to the new series launched on Weekly Shonen Jump this year;
  • Three covers dedicated to a group cover instead, featuring all the manga serialized at the time.

There is therefore a wide variety of proposals in the magazine, even if the Main pivot always remains ONE PIECE. Also treated well is Sakamoto Days, one of the recent successes and increasingly popular, which manages to surpass My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen and Black Clover, but which have often been paused for the health of their authors.

And as for the illustrations, there is a notable difference between the styles of the different series. What is the coolest cover of Weekly Shonen Jump 2022??
